Literally Too Mad To Die

The true story of Mad Jack, a British officer who not only served during World War 2 armed with a sword, bow and arrows and a set of bagpipes but survived to see old age. The story follows his career with the elite commandos though Norway, Italy, Yugoslavia and then his incarceration in a concentration camp in Germany before escaping and making it back home. Not through with war, Jack demands to be sent to Asia to fight the Japanese but the war concludes before he can get there. The story deals with his eccentricities during combat as well as his reluctance to assimilate back into civilian life.
